Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) is the sole independent governing body for managing, organizing, and developing Cricket (Men and Women) in Afghanistan. The game of cricket was officially established in 1995 in Afghanistan. It was granted affiliate membership by the International Cricket Council (ICC) in 2001, associate membership of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) in 2003, and full membership of the International Cricket Council in June 2017. Afghanistan has its National Cricket Teams playing among the top 10 cricketing countries of the world.

Job Summary

The Content Development Coordinator is technically responsible for the creation, organization, and distribution of content across various platforms to support the organization's goals and objectives. This role involves collaborating with content creators, subject matter experts, and other stakeholders to develop engaging and relevant content that resonates with the target audience. This position plays a key role in managing content calendars, ensuring consistency in brand voice and messaging, and tracking content performance metrics to optimize effectiveness. The position plays a crucial role in driving brand awareness, engagement, and conversion through strategic content development and distribution across various digital channels.

Reporting:

The Content Development Coordinator will directly report to the Commercial Department Manager.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Brainstorm and develop new content ideas and concepts.
  • Thoroughly study the target market audience and set fan royalty 
  • Create compelling content using available data and resources in the archive.
  • Edit raw footage to create cohesive and engaging film clips that align with ACB’s objectives and messaging.
  • Record, edit, and produce high-quality video content for social media, website, and broadcasting platforms.
  • Utilize advanced video editing software and tools to enhance visual appeal and storytelling.
  • Ensure consistency in branding and messaging/storytelling across all video content produced.
  • Stay updated with trends and use innovative techniques to keep content fresh and engaging.
  • Identify monetization opportunities and develop strategies to maximize revenue through social media platforms.
  • Stay updated on modern video editing tools, techniques, and best practices.
  • Work closely with the relevant teams to integrate promotional content effectively.
  • Monitor and analyze performance metrics of video content to measure effectiveness and audience engagement.
  • Provide support and guidance to other team members as needed and Seek opportunities for continuous learning and skill development to enhance video production capabilities.
  • Set up and tear down cameras, audio recorders, lighting equipment, microphones, and props for video shoots.

In addition to the above, the candidate must play a supporting role in below areas

  • Manage live feeds and ensure seamless integration with recorded footage for live events and broadcasts.
  • Conduct interviews with relevant individuals to gather footage and insights for video content.
  • Train a backup resource on its work and ensure business continuity
  • Make sure the content development is stored and the guidelines are filed

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts, Film Studies, Communications, or related field.
  • Proven 5 years of experience as a content developer and video editor, with a strong portfolio showcasing creative and engaging video content.
  • Should be able to demonstrate his key work and projects
  • Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro or similar tools.
  • Excellent storytelling and visual storytelling skills, with a keen eye for detail and aesthetics.
  • Strong understanding of digital media platforms, social media trends, and audience behavior.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and adapt to evolving priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in revenue generation, monetization strategies, and content marketing.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and perform repairs to audio and video equipment.
  • Ability to effectively manage time and schedules.
  • Ability to configure, operate, and maintain studio and/or field audio, lighting, and associated production equipment.
  • Familiarity with Cricket (ICC rules & Regulations)
  • Linguistic.i.e. English, Dari, Pashtu
